30/01/2010 08:30 - 17:30 We will meet at the gravel parking lot in front of the main building of HÍ at 08:30 (NO LATER) on Saturday morning. There the super-jeeps will pick us up for our day trip.
We will head to Langjökull where we will enjoy one hour ride on snowmobiles. Langjökull is the second largest glacier of Iceland and the highest peak reaches 1,360 metres.
The price includes 2 persons riding the snowmobile at a time, where each person gets to drive for abot 30 min. If you wan't to be alone on a snowmobile then it's additional 3.000 kr. If you want that option then you need to send me an email straight away.
What you need:
Warm clothes and lunch for the day. You will be given overalls, helmets, gloves and covers for your shoes for the snowmobile ride. But you still need to dress warmly. I recomend warm gloves (to wear underneath the ones they will give you), scarf to cover your neck and maby face if weather is that bad, and finally something for your ears that fit under a helmet if you tend to get very cold.
VERY IMPORTANT: You need your driving licence, otherwise you will not get to drive the snowmobile.
PRICE: The trip costs 20.000 kr. for ESN members and 24.000 for non-ESN members.

You probably already noticed...but it is at the same date as the introduction to Iceland tour to Reykjanes.

Seems really cool! I just want to have an indication about the price of this trip so I can make a decision.
You should put an orientative prize
price matters if i am going to sign up - so please provide a little information about that. thanks a lot
Please could you solve this question for me, even now the message has a weird sentence about the prize:
"The price includes 2 persons riding the snowmobile at a time, where each person gets to drive for about 30 min."
So, everybody pay 20.000kr. or that is the prize of each snowmobile rent and it is split between the 2 persons that are in the same snowmobile.
And if you want to be alone you pay 23.000kr. or 13.000kr. because when you read. "If you want to be alone on a snowmobile then it's additional 3.000 kr." It makes no sense if they allow you to ride alone just for 3.000 Kr.
Please could you explain better, maybe my brain is fried because of the excitement of the trip, or not.
I'm very sorry if this is confusing. But the price per person is 20.000 ISK (if you have an ESN card) .... but for that price you ride along with another person on a snowmobile. For additional 3.000 ISK you drive alone the full one hour.
So if you take the option of driving alone, it's 23.000 ISK
The minimum amount you have to pay for the trip is 20.000 ISK
